September 2021 Recap -

September somehow felt like the shortest month ever. I don’t know why or how but I barely remember September. Literally, it almost feels like it never even happened.

Seasonal depression decided to kick in hard and early, so that might also be why. So much harder that I haven’t been in the Fall mood, and it’s usually the only time of the year I actually look forward to. But this year I don’t seem to have any desire to decorate, or even LOOK at Fall snacks. I don’t know what the hell is wrong with me but this is unusual, for sure.

I started reading Lakesedge by Lyndall Clipstone and The Kingdom by Jess Rothenberg, I didn’t finish a book. I barely read. I’m really hoping Oct will be better.

SAW

Tums has been watching Bluey non stop. It’s not such a horrible show. It’s actually kind of funny. I’m confused at how their parents play games with them 24/7.

I also made lyric quote stickers that are up on my Etsy shop!

I finally gave in and watched Hamilton, I regret not watching it sooner. It was completely moving. It reminded me why I loved History as a kid. It reminded why I love theater. There’s so much to say about it. I’ve been listening to the soundtrack nonstop.

ATE

(L) I don’t know what this is but it was amazing. We stumbled on a Middle Eastern grocery store and I need to go back and get more! We got Coconut and it was perfection.

(R) Pumpkin Spice Mochi with Halloween sprinkles. Not as good as the other ones I’ve tried but the sprinkles made it even better!

(L) Bub made Fried Rice and we had the Orange Chicken from Trader Joe’s which is one of the BEST things ever! Love this stuff. And yes he handed it to me like this with the chopsticks on top and everything.

(R) I go to the Fort Worth Zoo for the Brisket Baked Potatoes. Seriously. They’re amazing.

(L) If you know me, then you know how much I love sprinkles. Just straight out of the container. Ironically so does Tums. We frequently fight over them. I should had gotten 2 of these.

(R) New Dove White Chocolate Pumpkin Pie! I’m not big on pumpkin stuff much anymore but these were new so I wanted to give them a try! I may post the reviews of Fall snacks on my food blog.

(L) Tried the new Crisp Apple drink and didn’t like it. At all.

(M) Another snack me and Tums ended up fighting over. They sold out of these super fast in stores; all of them. And we have like 10 Target’s here. They were online though so I bought… 4 bags. We’ve already ate 3.

(R) These are new! Tums tends to like Annie’s snacks so I figured we’d try these. They’re an interesting concept and they taste like apple but the caramel wasn’t as strong. They’re good if you’re looking for a snack that’s not sickeningly sweet.

DID

Besides shop things I didn’t really do anything else. We did take Tums to the zoo but I didn’t take any pictures. I didn’t go out much in Sept or make any huge significant purchases.

I did book my Halloween Disney trip! I’m super excited to be there for the 50th anniversary! There’s a lot of snacking that’s going to be happening. I’m only going to be there for a few days and I think I’ll have to skip a park again this time around. Really missing my Cast Member perks right now.

I worked with a few manufactures for some outsourced projects for my shop. I was lucky the ones I worked with were really nice and answered all my questions. I got some keychains made and some stickers. I also got a sample for a cute cup I don’t know what to do with yet. And some beer can glasses, which I also don’t know what to put on that yet either.

I also made a sticker sheet I’m super proud of. I talked about this more in this blog post.

(L) I made some more Tagalog stickers. I was in mood when I made the pangit ones. Hindi ka pangit means “No, you’re ugly”. I don’t know how to translate bastos in English, so… I won’t lol.

(R) And to continue my Final Fantasy XIV sticker collection, we have the Goobbue. Me and this thing go back to FFXI. I love how he turned out. A lot of my illustrations are imperfect and I love that they are!

(L) There’s a ton of cute Switch games coming out this year. Here are 2 I had pre-ordered. I still haven’t even started Story of Seasons yet.

(R) We went to one of Bub’s coworkers kid’s birthday party. Tums tried playing with him in the water area but he didn’t seem to have much interest in her. Then later in the day he leaned into her and she almost fell off the play thing. She refused to be near him after that. It makes me a little sad how social Tums is, most kids aren’t as social back. Probably why she likes being around older kids/people. We were at Hot Topic last weekend and she was trying to say hi to another toddler girl and the girl just hid behind her dad. Tums even went back and said bye before we left.

I can’t believe it’s October now. The year is almost over!
