My Top 5 Disney World Sit Down Restaurants

If you’ve ever been to Walt Disney World then you’d know how hard it is to narrow it down to just five places; however I can say with confidence that in the years I lived and worked there that these were my frequent 5 any chance I got for time to myself!

 Ohana

Located in The Polynesian Resort right by Magic Kingdom!

There’s an option for brunch or dinner and after having both I’d say my favorite is still dinner. This is one of my top 3 favorite places at Disney World to eat, ever! I know that sounds so  basic since a ton of people love this place too but I’ll tell you why I keep coming back.

Their Pineapple Coconut Bread.

I’m not kidding. They use to sell it downstairs at Captain Cooks for their sandwiches and stuff but they stopped for some reason!

This starter bread is the stuff that bread dreams are made of. And I don’t even like bread like that! But also their Pot Stickers and Salad are some of my favs.

The way Ohana works is that you get a huge heaping serving of starters. Pot Stickers, Salad, Noodles and I believe Chicken Wings as well. Then Cast Members come around with skewers of different types of meats and Shrimp and you select what you want and it’s like an all you can eat but you don’t leave your table sort of deal.

It’s good, I freakin love it.

Kona Cafe

Also located in the Poly Resort, actually right across from Ohana!

I usually eat at the bar during dinner and order the Shrimp Tempura Roll and the Sticky Wings. These Sticky Wings are fuckin amazing. But they’re also really messy. The Shrimp Tempura Roll comes wrapped in white paper and it has this delicious Mango sauce I literally can’t get enough of.

And who doesn’t want a huge ice cream cone surrounded by Cotton Candy and M&M’s?!

Kimono’s

Kimono’s is one of the best Sushi places on property and located in the Swan & Dolphin Resort.

My go to for Udon and Salmon Sashimi! They have other amazing dishes and delicious Sushi rolls but I usually was here for the Sashimi and the Udon.

Chefs de France

Chefs de France is amazing. Their food and service is top notch! Located in the France Pavilion in EPCOT.

I will say that the Lobster Bisque is the same you can get from the quick service location bakery. This is where I finally got to try Escargot and as someone who’s favorite food as a child in the Philippines was Sea Snails this is kind of the same idea. Same concept on how to eat them and similar taste just bigger. They top theirs with a cute crouton and I’m still not sure if it’s meant to be eaten together.

The main dish I had was AMAZING. The meat was tender and literally melted in your mouth. The pasta was fresh and probably the best pasta I’ve had in my life so far.

It is sometimes a bit hard to get a table here so I would highly suggest making a reservation!

Splitsville

Splitsville is located at Disney Springs West Side.

I use to work on the West Side so this one isn’t much of a surprise! Tbh I don’t know much of what they had since I’d only go for Sushi and Loaded Fries + diced Tomatoes. This was my go to meal here and it was delightful for when I didn’t want something super heavy but I didn’t want a snack either. I know it doesn’t seem like a very likely combo, but you’ll find that I love to mix random food together!

And in case you were wondering — I didn’t have any weird cravings when I was pregnant. I was actually barely hungry when I was pregnant which isn’t like me and was really irritating; I was so excited to see what weird cravings I’d have!

I actually don’t bowl so I can’t really tell you much about that part of this place… I’d literally just come here to eat.

They also have some really good cocktails!

Honorable Mention: Wolfgang Puck’s

Located at Disney Springs Marketplace.

I also worked at the Marketplace and this was one of my favorite places to stop by before work. I’d get the Chicken Strips Meal with a side of Mashed Potatoes and Crème Brûlée. This is actually the first place I ever had it and I’ve been hooked on them ever since!

What are some of your go to Disney World restaurants? Do we share any similar ones? I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions for when I go back!
