Blogtober 2019 ↠ Weekend Bits

So I remembered to vlog yesterday but then I forgot to vlog the second half of the day 💆🏻‍♀️!

I use to do these recaps on my old personal blog but then after a few years I maxed out my media storage lmao so now idk.

This past weekend — while it wasn’t Oct just yet is something I still want to talk about!

We headed to Dallas to get Tum’s 1/2 Birthday cake! Any time spent at BisousBisous is a good day in my opinion! One of my favorite bakeries in Dallas and one of my favorite French bakeries ever!

We did a whole 1/2 Birthday photoshoot for her and had so much fun — until she got cranky lol! There’s so many good photos to choose from though!

Her cake was Confetti + Raspberry Jam; the Raspberry Jam was not the right pair for Confetti lol but you live and learn!

On Sunday I got to meet Bobby Flay!

He’s been my culinary idol since I was a teen just dreaming of being a chef!

I went on to culinary school but due to bullying I ended up dropping out. Yeah, it sucks. But man being bullied in culinary school?! Some people are just really bitter I guess!

I had called the store a week prior and they said we couldn’t take pics with Flay so we left Tums with her nana, had I known, I coulda brought my Iron Chef watching buddy!

I was so nervous though! But I did manage to squeak out “hi! It’s so nice to meet you!” to which he replied with “it’s nice to meet you too!” he didn’t make small talk or anything and we only had 3 seconds which sucks. But I got to meet Bobby Flay!

After, we walked around (my favorite) the mall and had dinner at the restaurant inside of Nordstrom’s.

I wanted to try something new so I got the Maple Bacon Deviled Eggs (which were fuckin amazing) with a Crab Bisque (had this last time and loved it) and a French Dip (I lost the pic somehow)!

It was a pretty busy weekend but I enjoyed it!

This weekend is going to be just as busy with moving, packing and prepping the new place. I can’t wait to it together even if the kitchen and living room are smaller 😭.
